Recover Data from corrput PDF file by copy data from a damaged fileinto a new file

PDF files are known as one of the most secure data files because owner can set different access levels for different type of uses. PDF documents need less memory space than other documents so these can be easily send through email. But these secure acrobat pdf documents may get corrupt at the time of download or upload. In the case of PDF file corruption there are two possibilities 1) Corrupt file will open but original data will not shown 2) Corrupt file will not open.

In both type of corruption you need to apply some PDF repair methods or use PDF recovery software to access your original data.

Few methods are available to repair corrupt PDF documents. You can copy and paste corrupt data in to new file is one such method. This method works for few cases not for severely damaged cases.

Following are the steps to apply above method..

Open the damaged file, and then choose Object > Path > Cleanup to remove unwanted items (for example, stray points, unpainted objects, empty text paths) from the artwork.
If the original file contains multiple layers, choose Paste Remembers Layers from the Layers Panel pop-up menu to ensure the artwork appears on the same layers when you paste it into the new file.
Using the Selection tool, drag a marquee around the artwork.
Choose Edit > Copy.
Choose File > New to create a new file.
In the new file, choose Edit > Paste In Front to paste the artwork in the correct position on the page.
Choose File > Save.

This method will probably repair your corrupt PDF file. In case this method didnt work for you then use appropriate PDF repair software to get access of original data. You need to select an advanced repair tool which is compatible with your system configuration.

Recover Your Data from Corrupt Damaged Excel Workbook

MS excel workbook may get corrupt due to several reasons.

These reasons could be:

1. It may be possible you can open the Excel file but data is corrupt.

2. File could not be open due to some disk error or network error.

If you are facing error as mentioned above then first you need to take the backup of your corrupt or damaged file before using excel recovery methods.

Once you take the backup of the file then you can follow these methods to recover your file.

Method 1: If File can be open: Apply below written method if you can open corrupt or damaged file.

Save your corrupt file in HTML format:

If you can open the corrupt MS Excel file, you can "filter" it and try to save it in HTML format, close the file, and then reopen it as follows:

On the File menu, click Save As. In the Save as type list, click Web Page (*.htm, *.html).
Under Save, click Entire Workbook, and then click Save.
Close the file.
Open the file again in Excel.
On the File menu, click Save As. In the Save as type list, click Microsoft Excel Workbook. Change the name of the file to create a new "filtered" copy without replacing the original.

Method 2: If you cant open File: Use following method to recover data from corrupt excel workbook if you cant open it.

Start Excel and open a blank workbook if one is not open on the screen.
On the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the Calculation tab.
In the Calculation section, click Manual, and then click OK.
On the File menu, click Open and try to open the file.

In minor excel workbook corruption cases you are able to recover data by any of above written methods. But in any case these methods didnt work for you then you need to use some advanced Excel recovery software to fix your problem.

How to Open Damaged Word Document

Sometimes you may get a message that file is corrupted, whereas other times Word would simply say that it cannot open the word file. It means your word document file is get corrupted. It is not necessary that in every corruption scenario you are unable to open your document. So it depends on corruption level. There are many ways to repair corrupt documents but when document is not opening then the steps are different ones:

Solution 1: Open the damaged document in draft mode without updating links

Step 1: Configure Word

First Start Word.
View tab> Draft (the Document Views group)
In Word 2007> Microsoft Office Button> Options.
In Word 2010> File Menu> Options.
Display document content section> Draft font and Picture placeholders check boxes (under Advanced options).
General section> clear the Update automatic links> OK.

Step 2: Open the damaged document

After that Start Word.
In Word 2007> Microsoft Office Button> Open.
In Word 2010> File Menu> Open.
Damaged document> Open.

If you are unable to open your document through this step then go to solution 2.

Solution 2: Insert the document as a file in a new document

Step 1: Create a new blank document

Microsoft Office Button>New.
In Office 2010> File Menu> New.
Blank document> Create.

Note: You may have to reapply some formatting to the last section of the new document.

Step 2: Insert the damaged document into the new document

Insert tab> Insert Object> Text From File.
Insert File dialog box> locate> damaged document> Insert.

Solution 3: Third party word repair software.These two methods are commonly use for repairing corrupt documents which are not opening. If you are still unable to open your documents then in this case you should use third party word repair software.
